Phoenix Golf - 5/17/06
The Phoenix crew made it back out on the links this week for another round of pasture pool. Typical scores posted this week even with the one week layoff.
If you look at Big A's first hole you may say "huh, a bogey, nothing spectacular". But the two 30' high bounces off of the cart path after the ball flew through a tree did not stop his ball from landing 10' from the hole, middle of the green. But just like everyone else, you three putt and move on.
Mr. Don tested his luck with a blistering drive on #8, hooking directly over some trees designed to protect the cars and people on the other side. We didn't hear any unfamiliar noises such as windshields, trunks, screams, or broken bones. Visibly shaken, he teed up another and did the exact same thing stirring up some bike riders on the other side. We'll have to get Mr.Don some Police tape to carry in his bag with the "Crime scene - Do not cross" printed on it.
More stories next week....
